Clutch Lever Mk4 DAM Easy SFC style for cutaway chain cases. With 3 position cable attachment ( 43301003 )
Product Description
Mk3 SFC version for the SFC 750 and models with cutaway chain covers. It is pictured here on the left with the Mk3 STD.
Cable position is the same as the Mk3 STD with two position for cable attachment which is ideal for racing where the 'clutch feel' for the rider is important, plus the standard cable attachment position if required. This is also particularly useful to compensate for bikes with worn components like clutch lever pivot, clutch push-rods or plates.
For a super-light clutch pull on a Laverda and extended cable life. Manufactured to a design by Greg Parish specifically for the DAM racing bikes and to suit standard road bikes. The DAM Laverda Easy Clutch replaces your old clutch actuating lever without the need to cut your precious engine covers
Precision Laser Cut from 316 Stainless Steel the lever is an easy replacement without any modification or special tools required
Fits all Breganze Laverda 750cc, 1000cc and 1200cc that use a cable clutch with a cutaway SFC style cover
The Kit includes hand-slotted rubber bung, bolt, cable stand-off, lever, clevis and fittings, and instruction sheet.
We recommend to install a new clutch cable and check the handlebar lever pivot for excessive wear
Here are some additional items you might like to have on hand to complete the installation or keep as spare parts
Chain Cover Gasket The chain cover must be removed and the gasket can be damaged
Gear Shift Cover Gasket The Gearshift cover must be removed and the gasket can be damaged
Cable Hanger (Clevis) The original cable clevis is often rusty and filthy with road grime and ancient chain lube
Clevis Pin and R Clip The original parts are often rusty and filthy with road grime and ancient chain lube.
Rubber Neoprene Cable Sleeve Covers the exposed part of the inner cable where it attaches to the clevis.
NB: AFTERMARKET KEVLAR CLUTCH PLATES. These plates are often thicker than Laverda specification and cause problems with the original Laverda actuating lever binding on its support. Furthermore check carefully when operating the clutch lever that the extra thickness of the overall clutch pack doesn't make contact with the outer clutch basket. On hydraulic clutch systems using a PS14 or PS15 Mastercylinder the clutch pack has been found to make contact with the outer basket before the lever has completed it's full range of travel. This creates excessive pressure in the hydraulic system that may cause failure of components including alloy hydraulic covers.
On cable operated clutch systems check that a properly adjusted handlebar cable lever pulls all the way into the bar without excessive straining of the cable. If the lever doesn't pull to the bar then look to the Clutch Pack plate thickness before changing the Actuating Lever.
