D.A.M. Classic Racing is a sponsor of the Dry Lake Racers Australia referred to as the DLRA. The Dry Lakes Racers Australia are the official sanctioning body for dry lakes racing in Australia and they conduct the annual Speed Week at Lake Gairdner in South Australia, Australia.

In 2019, being the 70th Anniversary Year of Laverda motorcycles, Angus Parish (D.A.M. Classic Racing) set a new Land Speed Record in the 500cc Classic Production Class on a 1977 Laverda 500 Alpina with the fastest time recorded at 113.859mph and a record 111.261mph. This record stood unbeaten until 2023 when it was bettered by a 1982 KTM 500 at 114.14mph.

The last line of the text reads: 'This is probably the fastest speed ever recorded for the Laverda 500cc Alpina.
