Product Description
IMPORTANT: Ignitech CDI ignition modules are most often designed primarily to have its power supplied from a low voltage AC generator, but with variations of this unit it is also possible to be powered from DC 12 V battery supply.
Ignitech produce 3 types of capacitive type ignitions with sub categories according to the bike’s power supply.
- Only DC 12 V powered (need battery) - DCCDI, DCCDIP, DCCDIP2, DCCDIP4
- Low voltage AC generator or DC powered - ADCCDI. ADCCDIP, DCCDIP1 race
- High voltage AC generator powered - ACCDI, ACCDIP
It is important to give as much information about your existing ignition and bike model as possible when ordering.
SPARKER DCCDIP4 is an ignition unit for 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 cylinder road engines. The ignition principle is capacitive discharge. The unit is programmable using a Windows PC. The ignition curve is fully adjustable. The module's adjustable functions include ignition advance curve / map based on RPM, position of throttle or pressure in the intake manifold. The DCCDIP4 also contains outputs for tachometer, two multifunctional outputs, two multifunctional inputs, outputs and an input to the servomotor exhaust throttle. The unit is also equipped with racing features - a function switch for quick-shifting and an output for the shift indicator light. Programming the unit is by connection with a Windows computer via the serial port. The DCCDIP4.EXE configuration software ("software") is included.
This module is a four-channel (suitable for motorcycles with maximum of four induction coils) with a driver for servomotor exhaust throttle.
This module is produced with inputs for engine position sensors. There are two inputs for position sensors and each can be custom-made in the following versions:
1) For inductive sensor (marked IND or unmarked)
2) For inductive sensor with a pulsed rotor with more than 12 protrusions (marked 24-2)
3) For inductive sensor with a pulsed rotor with more than 36 protrusions (marked 48-2 or 60-2) 4) For HALL sensor or optical sensor (marked HALL)
5) For inductive sensors and pulse rotor with one pulse lobe (marked ONE LOBE)
5K Ohm Resistor plug caps are required to avoid damage to the Ignition unit.
