Product Description
This DC CDI P unit for Honda CR250 is supplied with a Basic Loose-wire Harness (not as pictured) witout connectors for individual wiring as required. It comes pre-programmed with an ignition curve to suit the Honda CR250 engine and requires power from a 12 Volt battery.
A USB COM Cable is required to connect to a Windows computer for programming adjustments. It is often recommended to also purchase a COM-COM Extension Cable for dyno use.
IMPORTANT: Ignitech CDI ignition modules are most often designed primarily to have its power supplied from a low voltage AC generator, but with variations of this unit it is also possible to be powered from DC 12 V battery supply.
Ignitech produce 3 types of capacitive type ignitions with sub categories according to the bike’s power supply.
- Only DC 12 V powered (need battery) - DCCDI, DCCDIP, DCCDIP2, DCCDIP4
- Low voltage AC generator or DC powered - ADCCDI. ADCCDIP, DCCDIP1 race
- High voltage AC generator powered - ACCDI, ACCDIP
It is important to give as much information about your existing ignition and bike model as possible when ordering.
This unit is a Programmable capacitive ignition for motorbikes supplied by 12 V.
SPARKER DCCDIP ignition is a programmable capacitive device with electronic regulation of ignition advance as a function of rpm (engine speed). CDI ignition supplied by an HV alternator coil is used with most of the single-cylinder road motorbikes. However this coil is often damaged and repairs are often ineffective. Ignition is designed for rampant CKPS system. It can be assembled to practically any carburettor single-cylinder motorbike with a stable voltage DC12 V. eg. RD/RZ, DR, XL, KLR, XT, and most two-stroke engines.
The SPARKER DCCDIP ignition is equipped with a two switching inputs. Function of these inputs is selectable. e.g BLOCKING for sidestand switch or ENGINE OFF switch or a racing funcion e.g. CLUTCH MASTER, START LIMITER and CURVE B. This Ignition is equipped with a outputs for tachometer and GEAR SHIFT LIGHT. The ignition unit is sealed in a plastic box 85x67x26 mm with bundles of input and output conductors with pins. Counterpart connectors are supplied.
This Ignition is fully programmable by DCCDIP.EXE software.
The DCCDIP ignition is made in many versions for individual bike types. Please include a note with your bike model when ordering.
5K Ohm Resistor plug caps are required to avoid damage to the Ignition unit.
