This modern Sprag Type Starter Clutch for Laverda RGS and Series 2 triple cylinder engines includes the genuine Laverda sprag bearing and freewheel gear of the Zane 650/668/750S models to ensure ongoing parts supply and maintenance across several models.  It replaces the old style roller/plunger/spring type for positive engine starting, extended longlife of the starter motor and battery

The complete assembly is a bolt-on conversion and supersedes Part Nr. 40701012 and 41111188

Note: An 8mm drill bit is required to drill out and remove the 3 x M8 threads in the alternator rotor. The Rotor can be removed using Alternator Puller for S2/RGS
